Velayati stressed that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” is unique throughout the history of the conflict with Israel (Iranian press)

Tehran -

Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to the Iranian leader for international affairs, said in an interview with Al Jazeera Net that the Islamic resistance factions have taken it upon themselves to support the Palestinian people, and that their spontaneous movement in some sensitive geographical areas - including the Bab al-Mandab Strait - will continue until the Israeli aggression on Gaza strip.

Velayati believed that coordination and mutual support between the resistance movements "is strengthening day after day until we are about to reach a stage where the resistance front will be difficult to break and defeat."

He added that the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinians has led to strengthening solidarity between the peoples of the region and the free people of the world with the Palestinian people.

Unique battle

The former Iranian Foreign Minister considered the battle of “Al-Aqsa Flood” to be unique throughout the history of the conflict with Israel, stressing that the struggle of “the Palestinian people and their steadfastness in front of the Israeli war machine, for more than 4 months, strengthened the mujahideen’s self-confidence more than before.”

Velayati believed that "the Palestinian side today is stronger than ever before, while the morale of the Zionist side continues to collapse." He stressed that signs of weakness and humiliation have never appeared on the features of the Palestinians, despite the horror of the Israeli crimes and their perpetrators.

He said that the Yemeni Houthi group "dealt painful blows to the alliance of the United States, Britain, the Zionist entity and their allies and dispelled its arrogance in the region," and that the Yemeni side is taking a tremendous step to prevent the formation of new Western and regional alliances that aim to control the Indian Ocean under the pretext of confronting China there.

Velayati added that if the Western powers succeed in forming the alliance in the region and establishing their military and security presence within the framework of the “ECOWAS”, “QUAD” alliances, or the “I2U2” group, the repercussions of their presence will not be limited to the Indian Ocean, but rather the fireball will roll to the regions. Others, including the Pacific Ocean.

Active front

The Iranian Supreme Leader’s advisor for international affairs believed that the Houthi group’s operations in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea seek to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, put pressure on Israel, and prevent the formation of foreign alliances in the region.

In response to a question about the repercussions of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle and the American strikes against targets belonging to the Iraqi, Syrian and Yemeni factions allied with Tehran, the same spokesman reiterated his assertion that the active resistance front from Yemen, through Iraq, then Syria, all the way to Lebanon, is becoming stronger and stronger every day.

Velayati believed that “the axis of resistance is working to combat injustice and terrorism in the Middle East, and that - similar to the American defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan - the future of the region will definitely not be in the interest of the American, British and Zionist trinity.”

He continued that strengthening the capabilities of the resistance axis will create many opportunities to confront the expansionist policies of the “Zionist-American” axis in the region, stressing that “the Islamic resistance aims to combat the Zionist entity and its protectors to put an end to Western hegemony over the West Asia region and defend the Palestinian people.”

Strategic relations

Regarding whether Tehran will reduce the number of its military advisors in Syria after a number of them were targeted in the repeated Israeli bombing of Damascus, Velayati said, “The Islamic Republic has formed comprehensive and strategic relations with Syria as it represents a golden link in the axis of resistance, and that there is no change in these relations during the period.” "The next one."

He said that the relations between Tehran and Damascus are strategic, deep and historical at various levels, and that Syria is capable of playing an important regional and international role, adding that “the resistance front was able to thwart the enemy’s plots and achieved many victories through unity and cooperation, and that there is no doubt that it will continue to achieve victories.”

He pointed out that "after 12 years of war against Syria, it has become more solid in the face of Israeli violations," describing Damascus's role in regional budgets as "fateful."

In response to a question about the assassinations that targeted a number of Iranian military leaders and others in the resistance factions, Velayati described his country as a “victim of terrorism,” accusing Israel of “adopting a policy of state terrorism against the Palestinian people.”

He also accused the United States of forming and sponsoring "terrorist organizations," including ISIS, after the scandal of Washington's support for the "Contra" rebels in Latin America decades ago.
