“Citizen E.G. Abukhba... was released after his sentence was commuted by the decision of the supreme court of this country... This high-profile case indicates a very lenient attitude of the Abkhaz justice towards crimes committed on the territory of the republic,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The department emphasized that this creates risks for the safety of foreign guests who come to Abkhaz resorts.
