This was reported to TASS by the press service of the 2nd Western District Military Court. The supervisory agency believes that the term assigned to Trepova is too lenient.

“The court received an appeal from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against the verdict of Daria Trepova. In it, the department indicates that in terms of the sentence imposed on the convicted person, the sentence is too lenient,” said the court representative.

On January 25, the court sentenced Daria Trepova to 27 years in prison. Trepova herself did not admit guilt in committing the terrorist attack in her last speech.

The terrorist attack occurred on April 2 in the Street Bar cafe on Universitetskaya Embankment in the center of St. Petersburg. As a result, a military commander died, and 42 more people sought medical help.
