“Europe will never be able to do without Russian gas and Russian energy resources in general. I am absolutely convinced of this, and everyone understands that this is absolutely true,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

At the same time, Tsekov added that, given such statements, the EU can also say that they “have learned to live without the air that blows from Russia.”

Earlier, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson notified Ukraine that the European Union is not interested in extending the agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Europe. 

The EC also promised to solve the problems of countries buying gas from Russia through Ukraine.
