A number of Palestinians were martyred and others wounded in Israeli night raids north and center of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and bombing targeted civilians on Al-Jalaa Street in the center of Gaza City, while the Israeli army announced the killing of one of its soldiers and the wounding of 14 soldiers, including an officer, in the Gaza battles, and decided to withdraw a paratrooper brigade from Khan Younes.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that 8 martyrs and a number of wounded were killed as a result of the bombing of the homes of the Judah and Zaraub families in the center and north of the city of Rafah. There were also several injuries and a number of missing persons as a result of the bombing of a house in the Shaboura camp in the center of the city of Rafah. An Israeli raid targeted an inhabited house near the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah.

Before that, the reporter said that at least 12 Palestinians, including 7 children, were killed in a bombing that targeted a house in the Nuseirat camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that a young Palestinian man was martyred, and 3 wounded, in the occupation forces' bombing of a gathering of citizens in the Shuja'iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The bombing coincided with the victims’ attempt to communicate with their families in the southern Gaza Strip and outside the Strip, after turning on the Internet.

Al Jazeera's correspondent in Gaza City, Ismail Al-Ghoul, monitored the arrival of wounded people, including children, to Al-Shifa Hospital, after the bombing of the Shujaiya neighborhood.

Also in central Gaza City, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that at least 3 people were killed and 5 people were injured, in a bombing that targeted civilians, residential buildings, and cars on Al-Jalaa Street.

In the south, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian and a number of wounded in a bombing that targeted the orthopedic department of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis. The reporter added that the occupation arrested a number of doctors as they were leaving the complex at dawn on Thursday.

9 massacres

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that on the 132nd day of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, the occupation army committed 9 massacres within 24 hours, leaving 87 martyrs and 104 wounded.

Thus, the number of victims of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has risen to 28,663 martyrs and 68,395 wounded.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that a number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, noting that the occupation continues to prevent ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.

The Ministry confirmed that the occupation turned the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis into a military barracks, after demolishing the southern wall and entering through it.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced the killing of a soldier and the wounding of an officer and two soldiers in the paratroopers unit, whose wounds were described as serious, in addition to the wounding of a number of soldiers with varying injuries.

The Israeli army had previously announced that 11 soldiers had been wounded in battles during the past 24 hours, and its spokesman said that the Air Force had carried out raids during the past 24 hours on various sites throughout the Strip.

The raids targeted underground infrastructure, military buildings, and rocket launchers, and one of the raids targeted the commander of a surveillance and monitoring unit in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), according to the statement.

Commenting on the progress of the battles, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that his forces control the northern Gaza Strip and Khan Yunis, and will continue their operations in Rafah.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said that preparations are underway for the major military operation in Rafah, refusing to reveal its details.

On the other hand, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Hamas movement - said that its fighters were engaged in fierce clashes with enemy forces penetrating the areas of the city of Khan Yunis.

The Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed the continued targeting of Israeli forces and their vehicles with Al-Yassin 105 shells, TPG shells, and explosive devices.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement - broadcast scenes that it said were targeting gatherings of soldiers and occupation vehicles in the northern Gaza Strip, in conjunction with the Al-Ansar Brigades.

Withdrawal of an Israeli brigade

In a related development, Israeli Army Radio reported that the army withdrew the 646th Paratroopers Brigade from Khan Yunis.

The Israeli army had gradually withdrawn some of its forces during the recent period, as it withdrew the 36th Division, which includes the “Golani” Brigade and brigades of armor, artillery, infantry, and other forces. It also withdrew the 5th Brigade from the Gaza Strip late last month, which operated in the northern region of the Gaza Strip on the axis. Beach, in addition to the withdrawal of the 4th Reserve Brigade, known as “Kryati”, from Khan Yunis, after weeks of military operations in the north and east of the governorate. The brigade also withdrew "55 reserve paratroopers" who operated in the Khan Yunis area.

After months of operations in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli army completed the mission of the “7107” Battalion, which belongs to the “Nahal” Brigade. He also withdrew the 271st Battalion, affiliated with the Combat Engineering Unit, after weeks of fighting in Khan Yunis.
