As Grishan said, in the first months of 2024, the municipality received more than 100 requests regarding the uncontrolled walking of pets, as well as the presence of stray dogs on the city streets.

He added that in January alone, 18 city residents were attacked by stray animals.

“In this regard, I have instructed our legal department to prepare proposals for amendments to the adopted regional law allowing the euthanasia of stray animals that pose a public danger,” the message says.

Earlier it was reported that deputies of Chukotka adopted a law allowing the euthanasia of socially dangerous stray animals and animals that carry dangerous diseases.
