According to investigators, the accused provided paid services to citizens who wanted to receive compensation for the loss of property as a result of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
In 2014, Sosin, as part of a group of people, prepared fictitious documents for a woman to ensure her right to compensation for the purchase of a residential building.
The man used these documents to receive about 2.5 million rubles from the Department of Construction and Architecture of the Bryansk Region. The woman was given 1.5 million rubles, and Sosin and his accomplice disposed of the remaining funds at their own discretion.
The request for Sosin's extradition was sent in October 2022.
