I invites the various deputies who adhere to the vision of the Head of State to materialize it by all participating in the parliamentary coalition.

), Augustin Kabuya, the leader of the presidential party, designated “informant” to formalize the parliamentary majority in favor of Félix Tshisekedi, entered the scene.

He was in front of the press for the first time, including RFI correspondent

Pascal Mulegwa

, on February 16, 2024, in Kinshasa to clarify his missions and announce the start of his consultations: “ 

I must make contact with the different political forces which constitute the National Assembly. Concretely, the political parties and groups that I will consult, without exclusion, are those which competed in the elections of December 20, 2023, which obtained at least one deputy according to the provisional results proclaimed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (Céni), without prejudice independents

 ”.

I invite the various deputies who adhere to the vision of the Head of State to participate in the parliamentary coalition

He continues: “ 

At the end of this work, it will be determined the number of parties and groupings, as well as the elected officials who, out of the 477 currently proclaimed by the Ceni, will be part of the government coalition. I will report on this mission to His Excellency, Mr. President of the Republic, specifying, in particular, the balances by geographical areas.

Augustin Kabuya says: “ 

I therefore invite the various deputies who adhere to the vision of the Head of State to materialize it by all participating in the parliamentary coalition that we are responsible for setting up as part of this mission.

 »

Félix Tshisekedi appointed Augustin Kabuya to this role of informant in the National Assembly on February 7. A position given to the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS), the first political party in the new Parliament, and therefore to its leader, Augustin Kabuya, loyal among the followers of the head of state.
