Germany is the second G7 country to commit to long-term aid for Ukraine. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj signed a corresponding bilateral agreement in Berlin.

The agreement includes concrete security guarantees for the country attacked by Russia. At the beginning of the year, Ukraine had already concluded such an agreement with Great Britain, and this evening Zelensky wants to sign another security agreement with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
