A senior White House official has revealed that Russia is pursuing military plans targeting artificial satellites, and that the Biden administration is taking this seriously. Major American media outlets have reported that this military plan involves the use of nuclear weapons.

On the 15th, President Donald Trump Kirby, who is in charge of public relations in the security field at the White House, announced at a press conference that Russia is proceeding with military plans targeting artificial satellites.

Russia appears to have been working on this plan for months, but the information has only been confirmed in recent weeks.

"We take this very seriously," Kirby said, but stressed that "it has not yet been deployed and does not pose an immediate security threat."

It also points out that this plan violates the Outer Space Treaty, which stipulates the peaceful use of outer space and is signed by countries including Russia, and plans to lobby Russia diplomatically.

Major American media outlets have reported that the Russian military plan involves the use of nuclear weapons, but Kirby did not provide further details.
