This statement was made by the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin, TASS reports.

According to him, all regions through which the HSR will pass will participate in financing the project “to the extent possible.”

“In Zelenograd the station... which exists, will become larger. There will also be additional expansion of tracks and overpasses leading to it,” Sobyanin said.

In addition, he noted that there will also be an additional terminal for the high-speed train at the Rizhsky railway station.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hope for the active participation of business in the development of high-speed lines.

Also, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that the main scheme of the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed railway has been agreed upon.
