As TASS reports with reference to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Yo Jong said that obstacles to rapprochement between the two countries will be removed if Japan abandons the habit of “unfairly clinging” to the DPRK’s right to self-defense.

She also noted that it is necessary to get rid of the obstacle to dialogue in the form of the already resolved problem of kidnapped citizens.

“Perhaps one day the day will come when the Prime Minister of Japan will visit Pyongyang,” TASS quotes her.

Earlier, Secretary General of the Japanese Cabinet of Ministers Yoshimasa Hayashi said that Tokyo is monitoring the situation around the DPRK and its relations with Russia.
