Damage caused by the Ukrainian attack on Belgorod (Anatolia)

Six people were killed, including a child, as a result of a Ukrainian missile attack on the city of Belgorod in southern Russia on Thursday, while Moscow fired 26 missiles at Ukraine last night, one of whom killed an elderly woman. NATO also announced its intention to provide Ukraine with one million drones.

The governor of the city of Belgorod stated that the Ukrainian attack resulted in the injury of 18 people, including 5 children, while Russian media said that the death toll reached 9.

The governor of the neighboring Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, said the attack damaged a mall, an outdoor sports facility and residential areas.

For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems shot down 14 Ukrainian missiles over the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, which is subject to repeated attacks.

Shooting down Russian missiles

Last night, Russia launched 26 missiles at Ukraine, while a 66-year-old woman was killed in the city of Chuguev in the Kharkiv region, northeast of the country, by a Russian strike, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Jens announced that NATO is determined to send one million drones to Ukraine (Anatolia)

Sending drones

In a related development, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that the alliance aims to send one million drones to Ukraine.

Stoltenberg expressed his welcome to the agreement concluded between Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania regarding the implementation of mine clearance activities in the Black Sea.

He said that these activities enable Ukraine to use its territorial waters, achieve success at sea against Russia, and provide Kiev with the possibility of exporting its grains.

The Russian war on Ukraine is approaching the completion of its second year. On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, and to end it, it stipulates that Kiev abandons plans to join military entities, which the latter considers an interference in its sovereignty.
