The leader of the Ansar Allah group (Houthis), Abdul Malik Al Houthi, said today, Thursday, that the group will continue its naval attacks, while a British maritime security company said that a goods tanker was damaged today after it was targeted by a missile east of Aden, Yemen.

Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi explained - in a television speech - that their attacks will continue "as long as the Israeli aggression, which carries out the most heinous crimes in the Gaza Strip, continues."

He added, "The Americans are primarily responsible for the level of destruction and crime in Gaza and its continuation for all this time, and the Israelis would not have inflicted all this destruction and terrible crimes on Gaza if it were not for American support."

The Houthi leader previously said that what he described as the Yemen front "has become effective and influential with ballistic and winged missiles and drones, leading to a measure affecting the economy and trade of the Zionist enemies by preventing ships" heading to the occupied Palestinian territories.

Al-Houthi added that the United States and Britain "failed in their operations aimed at attacking peoples with deceptive headlines," and that the Americans and British cannot protect their ships, including warships, according to him.

Naval accident and air bombardment

On the other hand, the British maritime security company Ambrey said that a cargo tanker suffered minor damage today after it was targeted by a missile about 100 nautical miles east of the coastal city of Aden in Yemen.

Ambre said - in a note - that the damage resulted from fragments that caused a fuel leak, explaining that the explosion occurred about 100 miles away and did not directly affect the tanker, and that the crew members were fine.

The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said today that it had received a report of an explosion near a ship 85 nautical miles east of the Yemeni port of Aden, and that the ship and its crew members were fine.

On the other hand, Houthi media said that an American-British raid targeted the Al-Jah Al-Asfal area in the Bayt Al-Faqih District in Al-Hudaydah Governorate on the western coast of Yemen.

This comes after US military officials said that the Houthis fired two missiles - last Monday - towards the Greek-owned cargo ship "Star Iris", which was flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and was crossing the Red Sea carrying corn from Brazil.

The United States recently renewed its strikes as part of its “Guardian of Prosperity” coalition operations on targets of the Houthi group, at a time when sources in the group said that they would not allow what they called the Americans’ invasion of the country, and that “the response to the attacks will continue.”

The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, also said several times that they targeted ships in the Red Sea and forced others to change their course, stressing that their operations against Israeli ships would continue “until the aggression against Gaza is stopped.”
