When the National Police arrived at the supermarket, the girls were already being cared for by the employees and, once their state of dirt

, semi-nakedness and abandonment

was confirmed , they were taken to the Police Station, where they were provided with warm clothing.

After finding out his address, agents from the National Police went to

the house

and found that it was in an

absolutely unsanitary state

, with an accumulation of garbage and dirt that had caused the appearance of insects.

Inside the house was the girls' father, who had

sent them to the supermarket in these conditions to buy food

, and who was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of abandonment of minors.

Once brought to justice, the detainee was released due to medical needs, with the obligation to appear before the judicial authority when required and to communicate any change of address.

The

mother of the minors,

who was out of the city, was arrested upon her return to Palencia on the afternoon of last Sunday the 11th and was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, which ordered her

release with charges.

The minors were transferred to the

Emergency Service of the Río Carrión Hospital

which, after an examination, confirmed their good health.

Both were at the disposal of Social Services.

The Scientific Police inspected the home where the family lived to prove its unhealthiness.
