The World Bank has revealed new estimates that the cost of rebuilding Ukraine, which continues to be invaded by Russia, will be 486 billion dollars over the next 10 years, or over 72 trillion yen in Japanese yen.

The World Bank, together with the Ukrainian government and the United Nations, announced on the 15th a new estimate of the costs needed to rebuild Ukraine, which will soon be two years after the Russian invasion began.

According to this, the necessary costs over the next 10 years will amount to 486 billion dollars, or 72 trillion yen in Japanese yen, which is an increase of 75 billion dollars, or 11 trillion yen, compared to the estimate announced in March last year as the invasion continues. The yen has increased too much.

The direct damage caused by the invasion amounted to 152 billion dollars, or over 22 trillion yen, and it is estimated that a large amount of money will be needed to restore housing, transportation, commerce, and agriculture.

Also, this year alone, $15 billion will be needed for emergency restoration work, of which $9.5 billion has not yet been procured.

The World Bank emphasizes the importance of the international community's continued support and points out the need for efforts to encourage private investment.
