The defamation complaint filed before the Court of Justice of the Republic by footballer Karim Benzema against the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, for supposed "links" with the Muslim Brotherhood, has been dismissed, announces the Attorney General of the Court of Cassation.

Karim Benzema's defamation complaint against Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, who had claimed that the footballer had "notorious" links with the Islamist organization of the Muslim Brotherhood, was dismissed on Tuesday, the prosecutor announced on Thursday General at the Court of Cassation Rémy Heitz. The Requests Committee of the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR) "retains that Mr. Benzema's complaint", received on January 16, "relates to comments which do not attribute to him any fact which is likely to undermine to his honor or consideration", we can read in Mr. Heitz's press release.
