Serdyukov told media representatives about the main trends in the military-political situation in the organization’s area of responsibility, the priorities of the headquarters’ activities and the set of activities planned as part of the joint operational and combat training of the CSTO Troops in 2024.
Earlier, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that the republic would prescribe in its military doctrine the actions of Minsk in the event of armed aggression against its allies in the CSTO and the Union State.
In November 2023, the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu said that a unified air defense system with the CSTO member countries had actually been created. According to him, it was formed after Russia concluded relevant bilateral agreements with each of the states of the association.
