  • Politics The president of the Balearic Parliament of Vox on the crisis in his group: "It has been a spectacle and I apologize"

The

Balearic Parliament

approves for the first time the use of Spanish in a large part of its official written communications. The initiative was approved this Wednesday at the

Table of the

Autonomous Legislative Chamber with the favorable votes of PP and Vox, and the vote against the PSOE.

This is a personal endeavor of the current president,

Gabriel Le Senne

, a member of Vox and one of the deputies who has remained loyal to Santiago Abascal in the recent open crisis within the party on the Islands.

Le Senne thus wanted to promote the implementation of bilingualism in the institution, where until now Catalan was the only official language used. The deputies, however, had the freedom to use any of the two official languages they wished, something that will not change.

Spanish will be incorporated into documents such as the

Official Gazette

of Parliament, the regulations of the Chamber and the official documents that they emanate, which will be transcribed into Spanish.

To comply with this use, two vacant and budgetary positions already contemplated will be filled, as defended by Le Senne in defense of this initiative.

The PP, which is chaired by Marga Prohens

in the Islands

and which maintains a pact with Vox to promote bilingualism, has given its approval to the initiative.
