The costume chosen by the Odisea troupe of the

Torrevieja Carnival

(Alicante) has unleashed a scandal that has crossed borders and will end up in court. The parade of girls pretending to be wearing lingerie, nipple shields and garter belts has led the ultra-

Catholic Christian Lawyers

foundation to file a complaint for a possible crime of using minors for exhibitionist shows and

Hazte Oír

is already collecting signatures calling for the resignation of the Festival councilor of the town, Rosario Martínez, who is part of the government team of

Eduardo Dolón

, mayor of the Popular Party that obtained an absolute majority in the last elections.

The troupe intended to make a satire of the promises of the political parties under the motto 'Promise until you put in' and paraded its 68 members in a costume that simulated the aesthetics of sexual domination, accompanied by various flags and slogans, from that of Spain to the LGTBI. The scandal was caused by girls imitating adults, which was considered on social networks as "hypersexualization" or even "incitement to pedophilia and pedophilia."

"It is reprehensible and falls into the category of corruption of minors. We hope that justice will act so that the innocence of children is not lost or used in this way," says the president of the Foundation, Poland Castellanos.

Christian Lawyers directs its complaint against the Festival Councilor, Rosario Martínez, the president and secretary of the

Torrevieja Carnival Cultural Association

, Francisco Pizana and Armando Bueno, and those responsible for the troupe. The council, which has not made an official statement, financially supports the parades, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, but has no control over participation.

However, the foundation considers it very serious that the troupe received 650 euros for the fourth prize in the costume category.

For its part, the Cultural Association has posted a message in support of the troupe on its Facebook wall. "The Torrevieja Carnival Cultural Association will always support all the troupes and participants of our carnivals. And

we will always defend freedom in our carnivals. #HoysomosAsadía

."

This same troupe was already criticized last year, when it chose as its motto 'Whoever is free from sin...' and disguised its women in an outfit that resembled that of a Catholic virgin.
