Speaking at the “Cybersecurity in Finance” forum, Kuznetsov noted that experts identify three main channels of cyber fraud: SIM boxes, virtual PBXs and instant messengers.

“Today we admit that up to 15 million attempted telephone calls to Russian citizens occur daily, taking into account these new channels in three directions, including instant messengers,” Kuznetsov said.

Also speaking during the forum was the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina. She stated that the long-awaited turning point in the fight against cyber fraudsters did not happen.
