“Slovonovo Msk” was established in January 2022, the type of activity indicated is “organization of conferences and exhibitions.” The company did not submit reports to the tax authorities for either 2022 or 2023: there is no data on this in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
“Slovonovo” is the name of the forum that Gelman has held in Budva (Montenegro) since 2018. At first it was called “Forum of Russian Culture Slonovo”. After the start of the SVO, the name changed to “Forum of Free Culture”.
One of the sponsors of Slovonovo is the co-founder of the Yukos Oil Company Leonid Nevzlin*.
As follows from the Kontur.Focus database, over the years Gelman managed or owned ten legal entities in Moscow and Perm. His most famous projects are the Effective Policy Foundation, the socio-political Russian Journal and the Marat Gelman Gallery.
In 2022, it became known that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs had put Gelman on the wanted list based on an article of the Criminal Code, but the article number was not reported.
In November 2023, Gelman visited Ukraine, where he met with militants of the terrorist unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the “Russian Freedom Legion”**, which is banned in the Russian Federation
