Meuse: what we know about the disappearance of Lucie, 16 years old

Lucie, a high school student attending an establishment in Bar-Le-Duc, has not given any signs of life to her parents for ten days. The 16-year-old girl, who left her home in Vavincourt on Sunday February 4, in the early morning, remains untraceable for the moment. She was dressed in a black jacket, white sneakers and a black backpack. “Lucie, tell us where you are, we are very worried,” the minor’s aunt told Europe 1. An investigation into a “disturbing disappearance” was opened by the prosecution.

A minor who is “influenceable and reserved”

Lucie left her home with her little brother's cell phone, a phone which stopped working a few hours later. A voluntary departure on the part of the high school student was therefore initially favored, especially since the latter had already run away the week preceding her disappearance. But the family found her the same day at a friend's house. “Ten days is not one day,” Lucie’s aunt alerted Europe 1, who described the minor as a “influenceable and reserved” girl.

Dozens of houses searched

A worrying disappearance for the prosecution which does not exclude any leads at this stage of the investigation. The investigation, entrusted to the Commercy research brigade, allowed the search of dozens of houses and to carry out numerous "telephone investigations" which have so far yielded nothing. A call for witnesses was also broadcast.

Contacted by Europe 1, the public prosecutor of Bar-Le-Duc declared having mobilized eight judicial police officers on a daily basis, showing his growing concern in this case. An investigation framework which could be reclassified in the days to come if the mystery persists around this disappearance.
