Israel launched massive raids on southern Lebanon, resulting in deaths, including two children, following a Hezbollah missile attack on military bases around the city of Safed, on Wednesday morning, which led to the death of a female soldier and the injury of other soldiers.

The Civil Defense in southern Lebanon announced that 4 people were killed and 11 others were injured in two Israeli raids on the towns of Al-Sawwaneh and Adshit in southern Lebanon. Among the victims was a woman who was killed with her child and her husband's child in the town of Al-Sawana.

At the same time, Hezbollah announced the killing of one of its fighters in southern Lebanon.

For its part, the Israeli army announced that it had completed a wave of large-scale raids on sites in Lebanon, including targets of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force.

He added that he targeted sites in Jabal al-Bureij, Kafr Houna, Kafr Donin, Adshit, and al-Sawwanah, including military buildings and operations rooms, he said.

Earlier, Israeli War Council Minister Benny Gantz said that the one responsible for launching rockets from Lebanon is not only Hezbollah, but rather the Lebanese state that allows firing from its territory, as he put it, vowing that “the response will come soon and forcefully.”

On the other hand, an Israeli ambulance spokesman announced that a female soldier was killed and 8 soldiers were injured in the bombing that targeted the city of Safed and its environs this morning.

Israeli Channel 12 reported from Ziv Hospital in Safed that 8 wounded were receiving treatment in the hospital, one of them in serious condition.

The Israeli media reported that Hezbollah launched a massive missile attack on the Galilee this morning, targeting the Northern Command, a military base in Safed, and an air base in Meron, using precision missiles. Reports indicated that Iron Dome failed to intercept the last missile.

Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah confirmed - in a speech he delivered yesterday, Tuesday - that the firing from southern Lebanon will not stop until the aggression on Gaza ends, and he said, “Whoever threatens us with expansion of the war, we threaten him with expansion as well.”

Hezbollah entered into a confrontation with Israel following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7th and the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza.

The occupation authorities were forced to evacuate tens of thousands of Israelis from settlements and towns near the border with Lebanon.

Israeli officials threatened to launch a massive military operation if a settlement was not reached that would remove Hezbollah fighters from the border beyond the Litani River, while the party waved a strong response.
