Regarding the amount of contributions per member of the "support subsidy system" collected through public medical insurance in order to counter the declining birthrate, Minister in charge of Children's Policy Kato said that after the system starts operating, the average monthly contribution will be 300 yen in 2026, the first year of operation. It has been estimated that the price will be slightly less than 400 yen in 2027.

Regarding the "Support Fund System" to be collected through public medical insurance, the government plans to start operating it in 2026, and to collect 600 billion yen in the first year, 800 billion yen in 2027, and 1 trillion yen in 2028. The average monthly contribution per person is estimated to be just under 500 yen in 2028.

Regarding this, Minister of State for Children's Policy Kato said at the House of Representatives Budget Committee on the 14th, ``Since the support funds will be built up in stages starting from fiscal 2026, the rough estimate will be just under 300 yen in fiscal 2026 and just under 400 yen in fiscal 2027. We are doing a trial calculation,'' he said.

On top of that, he announced his intention to scrutinize the amount of contributions per person, taking into account the burden borne by employers and the reduction measures for low-income people through National Health Insurance.

On the other hand, in response to the government's explanation that ``we will suppress the social security burden rate so that there is no real burden on the whole,'' Prime Minister Kishida said, ``The expenditure reforms to be carried out in this fiscal year and the new fiscal year will be implemented in fiscal 2028. If continued up to that point, there would be a reduction effect of just under 500 yen per person per month. If it is kept within this range, there will be no burden as a deduction.''
