The young woman then decides to break up after 7 years of living together, on the advice of her mother, Nathalie, also a victim of domestic violence for 15 years. But after this breakup, Aurélie's ex-partner continues to monitor her and threaten her. On Saturday May 19, 2007, while the young woman was going to a nightclub with her sister Aline, the man violently blocked them on the road. He grabs their phones, throws their car keys and hits Aurélie in the face with a log. The young woman then plunges into the woods to escape while her little sister, aged sixteen, returns home terrified, to alert their mother. The police then intervened on the scene, three hours after the tragedy to find Aurélie. The young woman is found in critical condition at the bottom of a cliff. She died of her injuries a few hours after being taken to hospital. Her ex-companion is arrested the next day and during his trial, a fundamental question arises: did the young woman fall from the cliff while fleeing or was she pushed? The man will be sentenced to six years in prison by the Assize Court.
