In the appeal, the legislator noted that Russian tax legislation defines categories of citizens who have benefits when paying land tax. The regulation provides that the tax base is reduced by the cadastral value of 600 square meters. m of land area for Heroes of the USSR and the Russian Federation, disabled people of groups I and II, disabled people since childhood, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, etc.

In addition, as he clarified, this benefit is also provided for large families with three or more minor children. At the same time, this general provision does not take into account that one large family may have three children, while another may have five, seven or more children. In both the first and second cases, families will have exactly the same benefits, although for comfortable living of a family with five or more children, objectively, a larger plot of land may be required, the legislator noted.

In this regard, the deputy asks not to charge tax on a land plot of up to 1.2 thousand square meters. m, or 12 acres, for families with five or more children.

“I ask you to instruct us to consider the feasibility of amending the Tax Code of the Russian Federation in terms of introducing a provision to reduce the tax base by the cadastral value of 1.2 thousand square meters. m of land area for individuals with five or more minor children,” the text of the appeal says.
