The Pecas de Pozuelo Day Care Center, in which alleged mistreatment of children by several caregivers is being investigated, would have been in operation
for at least two decades without an opening or activity license
, data that would already be included in the judicial proceedings, according to legal sources have reported.
The judge investigating the case is investigating five former workers, including the director, for the alleged commission of crimes of
degrading treatment and another of injuries
following a complaint from a former intern employee who recorded videos confirming the events.

Children of famous footballers such as Álvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann, Saúl, Mario Hermoso attended this nursery, as well as children of singers and businessmen who reside in urbanizations in the area.
Last December, the National Police arrested three workers for alleged mistreatment. After testifying in court, they were released with precautionary measures by order of the magistrate.
The National Police already arrested two employees of the Pecas children's center on November 23, one of whom would be the alleged perpetrator of the events, while the other, younger, would be her accomplice.
The investigation began following
complaints from a trainee worker
who clandestinely recorded videos showing alleged humiliation of minors, including telling them that
"your parents are rich."
This woman filed a complaint weeks ago with the Pozuelo de Alarcón National Police station, where she provided the videos. In some of them there were also attacks on minors, the same sources have indicated.
Following the complaint, the specialized agents viewed these and other security recordings that they requested from the children's center after the case was uncovered.
From the children's center itself, it was explained to Europa Press that the daycare center has an "impeccable" record in its 30 years of experience and that it is the first time that an event of this nature has happened.
