The Israeli army announced the killing of an officer and two soldiers in battles in the southern Gaza Strip, and for its part, the Palestinian resistance confirmed that the occupation army had suffered losses in clashes and bombings in the Strip.

The Israeli army explained that the dead were the commander of the 630th Battalion in the reserve, the deputy company of the 630th Battalion, and another soldier from the same unit. It indicated that the dead were killed during the explosion of a booby-trapped building, confirming that soldiers were recorded with various injuries in the battles taking place in the southern Gaza Strip.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed that its fighters eliminated 10 Israeli soldiers from scratch, and that they detonated an anti-personnel device in a foot force in Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.

Israeli media sources confirmed that the army was subjected to an ambush, which they described as large and precise, carried out by the Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis, which claimed the lives of more than 11 soldiers.

The sources said, "The security event took place southeast of Khan Yunis in the form of an elaborate ambush, and it took hours to transport the dead and wounded."

In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, reported that its fighters set up an ambush in the Ma'an area, southeast of Khan Yunis, killing and wounding members of an Israeli force. It stated that its fighters surprised the force's members with machine guns, anti-personnel shells, fortifications, and explosive devices, causing deaths and injuries among their ranks.

The Al-Quds Brigades added that they bombed with mortar shells a command and control site of the occupation army in the Al-Taqadum axis in the center of Khan Yunis.

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, the Israeli army has acknowledged the killing of 569 of its members, in addition to the injury of 2,864, including 344 soldiers receiving treatment in hospitals, the condition of 30 of whom is described as serious.
