The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian during their meeting in Doha on Tuesday the developments of the situation in Gaza.

The Qatari Emiri Diwan said in a statement that Sheikh Tamim received in his office at Lusail Palace this morning the Iranian Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation.

The statement added, "During the interview, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent regional and international issues, especially developments in the situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories."

Yesterday, Monday, Abdullahian met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, who stressed during the meeting Qatar’s call for an immediate ceasefire, the protection of civilians in Gaza, and ensuring the continued flow of humanitarian aid without obstacles.

A few days ago, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the UN Security Council to take urgent action to prevent Israeli forces from invading the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and committing genocide in the city.

For more than 4 months, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that, as of Tuesday, has left 28,473 martyrs and 68,146 injured, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, and most of the victims are children and women.
