“I was exchanged for foreigners who fought on Zelensky’s side and were captured by the Russian army. The exchange, as a result of which I was released, was multi-stage,” says the text of the interview published on the website of the “Other Ukraine” movement.
According to Medvedchuk, he was exchanged for ten foreigners from the general list. At the same time, it also included Azov militants*.
Earlier, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin announced the release of Medvedchuk from Ukrainian captivity.
According to the politician himself, at first he was transferred by plane to Poland, and before the exchange he was accompanied by members of the Ukrainian special services, who were constantly conducting some kind of negotiations.
