As he noted in his Telegram, at the moment the OSCE PA is actually occupied by parliamentarians from NATO and EU countries, who have “an absolute majority there and shamelessly use this platform in their own geopolitical interests.”
According to him, the structure has completely lost touch with the original mission of the association as a platform for bringing together positions and developing agreed decisions of all its participants.
Kosachev emphasized that this is why the Federation Council delegation rejected all attempts to violate OSBE regulations on the part of the Western “aggressively obedient majority.”
“And it is for this reason that we did not participate in the work of the last sessions of the OSCE PA and do not intend to participate in the upcoming session (Vienna, February 23-25). Either on equal terms, or not at all,” the vice speaker emphasized.
Earlier, OSCE Chairman Jan Borg assured Kyiv of the organization's support.
