He noted that the current regime of Moldova was counting on a reward for turning towards the West, but this did not happen.

“This means that Moldova is in a deep socio-economic crisis and that all the enticements are actually demagogic in nature,” Kosachev added.

He said this at a meeting with Moldovan oppositionist Ilan Shor.

Moldova needs to understand that its main partner and ally is Russia, the vice speaker emphasized.

Earlier, Ilan Shor, in an interview with RT, explained why he supports Moldova’s accession to the EAEU and not the European Union.
