As the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of Russia points out, Andrei Plitus, Gennady Sukharnikov and Dmitry Predborsky were found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, Criminal Code of Russia, paragraphs “a”, “e”, “g”, “l”, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia, Part 1, Art. 356 of the Criminal Code of Russia and Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of Russia.

It was established that from March 7 to April 15, 2022, on the orders of Plitus, nationalists Sukharnikov and Predborsky, acting as part of a mortar battery, fired at residential buildings and socially significant civil infrastructure facilities in Mariupol.

“As a result of at least 100 mortar rounds and high-explosive fragmentation shells, three residential buildings were damaged and their owners suffered significant damage. Civilians who were in shelters at the time of the shelling were not injured,” the department noted.

It is clarified that the court sentenced Plitus and Sukharnikov to 27 years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony each, and Predborsky to 25 years of imprisonment in a penal colony of the same regime.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced militant of the Azov national regiment* Renat Aliyev to life imprisonment for the murder of five civilians in Mariupol.
