Artist Molodkin threatened to destroy 16 paintings if Assange is not released

According to the TV channel, among the collected paintings there are works by Pablo Picasso, Rembrandt, Andy Warhol, and Robert Reischenberg.

It is noted that in total the safe contains 16 works of art, the total value of which exceeds $45 million.

“The 24-hour countdown timer needs to be reset before it reaches zero to prevent the release of corrosive material (onto the paintings). This will be done by someone close to Assange, confirming every day that the journalist is still in prison,” Molodkin said.

Last year, a French court rejected Assange's request for political asylum.

Also in November, American TV presenter Tucker Carlson visited Assange in prison.
