“On February 13, starting at 05:30, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms at Armenian positions located in the Nerkin Hand region,” the statement said.
According to the ministry, there are wounded among the Armenian soldiers.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that de facto peace already exists between Baku and Yerevan.
Also, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan proposed that Azerbaijan conclude a non-aggression pact if the process of signing a peace treaty drags on.
