Antonov’s words are quoted in the Telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in the United States.
“It appears that the American need for voices of reason is obvious,” the ambassador noted.
He added that US residents no longer want to listen to the politicized and biased opinions of politicians who are clearly anti-Russian.
Antonov emphasized that voters in the United States need realistic assessments of current events in the world, hence the genuine interest in Putin's recent interview.
Earlier, the Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that Western leaders had familiarized themselves with Putin’s interview with Carlson, and this is the most important thing for the Kremlin.
