Displacing the population of the Gaza Strip and controlling the Philadelphia axis remains the primary goal of the occupation government, but both goals are difficult to implement for reasons related to Egypt and the United States of America, says military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi.

The process of total population displacement - in Al-Duwairi’s opinion - represents “a common denominator for the entire Israeli war council, with the exception of Gadi Eisenkot.”

According to the military expert, Israel is trying to control the Philadelphia axis to completely isolate the sector from the world, a goal that “will not be easy due to the Egyptian position.”

In parallel, Israel is trying to pressure the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) by using excessive force against the displaced people in Rafah to force it to make concessions in the prisoner exchange deal issued by the Paris meeting, according to the military expert.

As Al-Duwairi says, Israel is planning things that it “will not be able to achieve easily, and therefore it is trying to employ the propaganda machine to achieve gains without entering militarily into Rafah.”

The battle is complicated and has not begun yet

The military expert said that the Rafah battle has not yet begun, and that it is not possible to talk about its repercussions before it begins to implement it, expressing his belief that US President Joe Biden’s talk about the necessity of emptying the region of displaced persons “means giving the green light to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to do whatever he wants.” .

If a military operation actually begins in Rafah, it will be operations independent of everything that happened during the past four months, according to Al-Duwairi, who believes that “Biden’s demand to evacuate the area of displaced persons - despite the doubts surrounding it - imposes great pressure on Israel due to the lack of places to transport them.” to her".

Al-Duwairi said that there is no place to transfer more than a million displaced people, in addition to the city's residents, except the Sinai Peninsula, expressing his belief that the Egyptian position "will not be so weak as to accept this matter."

The military expert stressed that the Egyptian position in this operation is much more important than the American position, given the security risks that Egypt will face because of this operation.

He concluded that it is not possible to talk about the nature of the operation from a military perspective until the final picture of the process of transferring civilians in the region becomes clear because it will be very complicated.
