A few days ago, the PSOE leadership did not close the door to a turning point in the last week of the Galician election campaign. "That will depend on the PP. On their needs and how hard they are," said socialist sources in conversation with this newspaper. The fact that the PP has admitted that in its negotiation with Junts it studied the amnesty for at least "24 hours", that they value a conditional "pardon" for Carles Puigdemont and that it is difficult for him to be prosecuted for terrorism may well be a point. of inflection. The Government and the PSOE cling to these confessions to legitimize their roadmap with Catalonia and to try to reduce their electoral perspective in Galicia, with little force.

In the Government and in Ferraz they believe what is known is a piece of the iceberg. That there is even more matter under the sea. "The first question we have to ask ourselves is what else is the PP hiding from us? What else is it hiding from us?" Pilar Alegría, government spokesperson, said this Monday before attending an informative breakfast.

"It is time for Feijóo to now tell the truth to the Spanish people and recognize what he spoke about with Junts and with Puigdemont. If there is any role for which the pardon was possible and how he justified it. Which PP representatives attended those conversations? "I wonder if Feijóo has had direct conversations with the leaders of Junts or with Puigdemont. Why is the PP so afraid of what Junts may say?" reflected María Jesús Montero, first vice president of the Government and number two of the PSOE in a statement at the party headquarters, in which journalists were not allowed to be present or ask questions.

"Explanations are urgently needed and the PSOE will not stop demanding them." The socialists have found in the confessions of the PP, although Feijóo tries to do damage control and stop criticism - internal and external -, ensuring that he said and says "no to amnesty and pardons because the conditions are not met", an attacking flank. They smell blood and don't want to let go of the prey. There is a conviction that there are even more things that are unknown than what was discussed or discussed in the meetings between the PP and Junts. Hence, they launch into demanding that Feijóo "give explanations about the content of his meetings with Junts."

The socialists believe that a change of Government in Galicia is possible. That the scenario, although it is prone for the PP to repeat an absolute majority, is open and will be played in a few seats. "There is a party," they say from the PSOE engine room. And the confessions of the PP give them the opportunity to try to accelerate with an issue such as amnesty and "reconciliation" with Catalonia that was ignored until now in the socialist rallies. "He had a hidden plan for Catalonia and, even so, he dragged thousands of people into the streets, deceived by his double standards," said Santos Cerdán, number three of the PSOE, and the person who has piloted the negotiations between the PSOE and Puigdemont.
