This was stated by the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin. His words are quoted by the SVR press service.
The “special envoy” will also have the task of preventing the Ukrainian leadership from making decisions that are not agreed upon with the United States and Britain, and instead offering alternative options that are consistent with the views of the Anglo-Saxons, Naryshkin said.
“A wide range of Russophobic-minded American and European politicians are vying for the role of such a de facto “governor” of the West in Ukraine,” Naryshkin noted.
