Occupation army soldiers during previous operations in Khan Yunis (French)

Israeli media sources reported that the occupation army was subjected to an ambush, which it described as large and precise, carried out by the Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of more than 11 soldiers.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that the occupation army "is suffering from a difficult situation in Khan Yunis after being exposed to a very large ambush" there, while clashes continued between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

The authority added that "the serious security event was an ambush against the Israeli army south of Khan Yunis," noting that "the army may issue an explanation regarding what happened in Khan Yunis hours later."

In turn, Israeli media said, "The security event took place southeast of Khan Yunis in the form of an elaborate ambush, and it took hours to transport the dead and wounded."

It is noteworthy that the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - carried out a qualitative operation on the 22nd of last month in the Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, in which 21 Israeli officers and soldiers were killed.
