This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Volgograd Region.

“Due to heavy snowfall, the women lost their bearings and could not get to the public transport stop. The situation was complicated by the piercing wind and negative air temperature. At some point, making their way through a deep snowdrift, they lost sight of each other,” the report says.

The women were hospitalized with second-degree frostbite on their extremities.

Earlier, the Moscow Emergency Situations Ministry issued a warning about freezing rain and fog in the capital on February 12.
