In Montouliers, in Hérault, a resident of the town discovered a dinosaur bone while he was walking his dog. By increasing the number of searches, the bones, from the skull to the tail, were found. To avoid any risk of looting, the research remained secret for two years.
A surprising discovery. Damien Boschetto, a resident of the town of Montouliers, in Hérault, has his morning habits before going to work. Among them, he always takes the time to walk his dog. One morning, he comes face to face with a rather unusual bone.
Passionate about archeology, the 25-year-old man decided to have this bone analyzed. And the recent discoveries are quite surprising. According to information from Le Parisien, a landslide allowed the discovery of other bones to form the skeleton of a dinosaur about ten meters long, which died nearly 70 million years ago, in the Upper Cretaceous.

No missing pieces
This is not the first time that prehistoric bones have been discovered in this part of the region, more precisely in the north of Béziers. “But here, what is very rare is that it is a dinosaur in connection, that is to say without any missing piece from the back of the skull to the tail,” explained Damien Boschetto, in the columns of Le Parisien.
For almost two years, the discoveries of this archeology enthusiast were not revealed in order to prevent bones from being collected by other people. This discovery also opened Damien Boschetto’s eyes to his professional ambitions. He decided to pursue a master's degree in paleontology after leaving his job in the energy sector.
