(News Broadcast): In 2023, China's first domestically produced aircraft carrier Shandong Ship went to the distant seas for three times to sharpen its swords and oceans. Groups of crews let their youth and dreams fly on the deck of the aircraft carrier. Today's (February 11) "New Year Goes to the Grassroots" follows the reporter to get to know the officers and soldiers on duty during the Spring Festival on the Shandong ship to understand their stories of struggle.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, on the flight deck of the Shandong ship, officers and soldiers wearing identification uniforms of different colors started a new day of training, inspecting equipment, transferring aircraft, and loading ammunition... The officers and soldiers had a clear division of labor and tacit cooperation. Instructor Tang Xiaojing's job is to guide the carrier-based aircraft into position and take off. When the fighter takes off, her combat position is less than 20 meters away from the aircraft engine.

In 2019, Tang Xiaojing joined the army and came to the Shandong ship and became an aircraft carrier helmsman. In March last year, the Shandong ship carried out "one specialty, multiple abilities" training. After layers of selection, she became the first batch of "wind chasing girls" to step onto the Shandong ship's flight deck.

Tang Xiaojing said that being a soldier is a challenge in itself. Her dream is to board a more advanced aircraft carrier and fly more advanced carrier-based aircraft.

In pursuit of dreams, there are many people on Shandong ships like Tang Xiaojing who are racing against time. "Post-95" Zhang Hao was originally an air supply soldier on the Shandong ship. He also became a bomb carrier on the aircraft carrier deck through "one specialty, multiple abilities" training.

The missions of carrier-based aircraft in maritime operations are ever-changing, and different types of missiles may need to be replaced each time they are dispatched, which places higher requirements on the support capabilities of the bomb carriers. Accompanied by danger, Zhang Hao developed excellent skills and witnessed the improvement of the aircraft carrier's combat effectiveness as he walked into the deep blue waterway time and time again.

How can a carrier-based aircraft with a speed of more than 200 kilometers per hour land quickly on the deck? It relies on this blocking rope. The moment the carrier-based aircraft lands, the arresting cable withstands tens of tons of tension. Once it breaks, it will not only threaten the safety of the carrier-based aircraft, but also cause serious harm to support personnel. Qi Zhengkun faces such a test every day.

During the Spring Festival, the dream chasers on the Chinese aircraft carrier also expressed their deep blessings to the motherland and the people.
