As reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the fighters were awarded the Order of Courage, medals “For Courage”, “For Saving the Victims”, “For Military Distinction”, “For Military Valor” and “For Strengthening the Military Commonwealth.
“Several military personnel were awarded the insignia of the Order of St. George - the Cross of St. George, IV degree,” the ministry noted.
The defense department added that immediately after the award ceremony, the servicemen returned to their positions to further carry out their assigned tasks.
Earlier it was reported that Ussuri paratroopers-guardsmen were awarded in the zone of a special military operation.
