A previous American raid on sites controlled by the Houthis (Anatolia)

US Central Command said on Sunday that its forces launched raids yesterday on two drone boats and three mobile anti-ship cruise missiles north of the city of Hodeidah in Yemen, indicating that it was “self-defense.”

The US command added in a statement that it had identified these boats and missiles in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen, and decided that they represented an imminent threat to US Navy ships and commercial ships in the region.

Yesterday, Saturday, the United States and Britain targeted the Al-Saleef district in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, western Yemen, with 3 raids.

On the other hand, the Houthi group announced yesterday that 17 of its officers were killed in raids launched by the United States and Britain on Yemen.

The leader of the Houthi group, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, warned of escalating attacks in the Red Sea unless the aggression and siege of the Gaza Strip stopped.

Since the beginning of this year, the Washington-led coalition has launched raids that it says target Houthi sites in various regions of Yemen, in response to its attacks in the Red Sea, which was met with a response from the group from time to time.

In solidarity with Gaza, which is facing a devastating Israeli war with American support, the Houthis targeted, with missiles and drones, Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red Sea, determined to continue their operations until the end of the war on the Strip.

With the intervention of Washington and London and the tensions taking a noticeable escalation last January, the Houthi group announced that it now considered all American and British ships among its military targets.
