The Ambassador of the Republic to Russia Dmitry Krutoy stated this in an interview with ONT TV channel.

“...We are considering the possibility of participating in the program to build a nuclear fleet that will provide adequate navigation in difficult weather conditions,” the diplomat said.

At the same time, he emphasized that this topic “will take off in the near future, as transport workers say.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the nuclear-powered icebreaker Stalingrad would be laid down in Russia in 2025.

He also noted that Russia intends to continue expanding its Arctic fleet.
