According to Ukrainian sources, at least seven people were killed in a Russian drone attack on a gas station in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. Among the dead were two children aged four and seven and a six-month-old baby, regional governor Oleg Synegubow said on Saturday on the Telegram online service.

According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the attack with Iranian-made Shahed drones spread burning fuel to surrounding houses, forcing at least 50 people to be evacuated. 14 private houses were destroyed.

Kharkiv regional prosecutor Oleksandr Filachkov said three drones hit the Nemyshlianskyi district and destroyed "critical infrastructure." "There was a large amount of fuel, which is why the consequences of the fire were so terrible," he said in a video on the messaging app Telegram.

According to Ukrainian sources, there were a number of Russian attacks in the region during the night. According to official information, a hospital and a restaurant in the city of Velykiy Berluk, east of Kharkiv, were also hit by drones.
