“The Prize winners are not only military personnel, but also heroes of civilian professions - doctors, representatives of volunteer groups and humanitarian organizations, war correspondents, front-line clergy, artists, musicians,” says a statement from the Svoim charitable foundation, which is the founder of the Prize.

All laureates receive cash certificates and support funds, which were collected through sponsors and public donations.

The award is awarded in the following nominations: “For military feat”, “For the destruction of enemy equipment”, “Combat-father”, “Internationalist warrior”, “Front-line trophy”, “For the will to live”, “For saving the life of a soldier, the best field soldier” doctor."

Russian President Vladimir Putin in December expressed gratitude to Russian volunteers for the assistance they provide to participants in a special military operation and members of their families.
