“We have a very clear position on this matter: Hungary has never participated and will never participate in any actions aimed at supplying weapons to Ukraine,” he told RIA Novosti.

According to the diplomat, the more weapons supplied to Ukraine, the longer the conflict will last and the more people will die.

“We have received guarantees that assets or funds that were frozen for Hungary will now be partially unblocked and will not be sent to Ukraine. We have guarantees for this,” Szijjártó added.

EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell earlier said that the EU had already depleted its stockpiles and did not have a “magic wand” to give Ukraine more shells.
